November 2024 we celebrated the installation of the MLK Monuments in Benton Harbor and St. Joseph, led by the Unified Civic Monuments Project. ![]()
As part of our promise, we will continue to care for the monuments through annual cleanings, ensuring they remain points of pride within our community. Please join us this June 1 for a Day of Care & Fellowship. ![]()

Goal: to care for the monuments and have them looking their best before the Juneteenth holiday. ![]()
Caring for the monuments entails a waxing and buffing process. This is a simple act of labor that onlookers will be welcome to participate in. Care will be led by the AFrican AMerican History & Literature Gallery and Krasl Art Center. ![]()
